Cortina Chalet

DETAILS
We are among our beloved Dolomites mountains, in one of the most exclusive and trendy locations; it is a wonderful chalet, customized to the smallest detail and in the pursuit of absolute comfort; it is entirely build with wood, with a great attention to the use of natural and sustainable materials. The chalet allows enjoying a breathtaking all-around panorama: an uninterrupted exchange between interior and exterior, in complete harmony with the surrounding landscape

Entrance area

The entrance area can be considered the manifesto of the philosophy that guided the realization of this wonderful chalet. The warmth of welcoming, accurately selected natural materials, and the mountain remains the main protagonist; the landscape powerfully enters from the wide glass wall

2/ 11

The living room

The delicacy of the oak wood finish – purposely very natural – and the (apparent) simplicity of the panels combine with aesthetic and architectural elements that create movement, like for example plays of volumes, embosses, heights changes: all this contributes to balance the imposing all-round double-height wood paneling .

The single pieces of furniture stand out from the scene in a juxtaposing fashion – both chromatic and stylistic – without being contrasting. The big fireplace – built with iron with an anthracite finish – is center scene.

3/ 11

The dining area

The warmth of wood, the naturalness of walnut wood highlighted by a rustic-style finish and marble inserts: the dining area is a private, welcoming and elegant spot. The level change, made possible by a step with LED footpath lights, contributes to giving a more intimate connotation, yet in a continue exchange with the remaining open space. Noteworthy is the customized, modern style dining table, as well as the comfortable upholstered chairs.

4/ 11

The kitchen

The U-configuration kitchen, open towards the living area, is a place to live, and thought to be extremely functional.

The combination of the materials is absolutely consistent with the rest of the space, however in this corner we find elements with a more vintage hint: the copper hood, the marble backsplash with an original shape and an elegant profile with contrasting color, a shelf made with wood and metal, complete with dish rack, suspended above the snack area… glamorous details that accompany moments to be enjoyed together.

5/ 11

The wine cellar

Another jewel in this chalet is the wine cellar, an area that is entirely dedicated to the storage of prestigious wines, well organized and lighted and with practical tricks that do not preclude the importance given to stylish details.

6/ 11

The bar area

Small and cozy bar area with a linear and contemporary style, so different from the somehow rustic flavour of the surrounding walnut and yet so harmoniously nestled. The choice of colours recalls that of the remaining interiors: anthracite, copper (here in an original hammered finish); the whole is masterfully lighted with LED fixtures but above all by natural light.

7/ 11

Mud room / ski storage

The chalet couldn't come without a place equipped as mud room and ski storage, as this is an absolute must-have here: the enviable location of this villa allows to fully enjoy open-air life. This is a service area, yet no detail is left to chance.

8/ 11

The cinema

The cinema room has a double connotation: it can be both a private and cozy retreat and an area where you can share and enjoy a nice movie or good music, in a room with a superior performance from the acoustic point of view. In fact, the panels – manufactured with precise technical characteristics – comply with strict resonance criteria and allow a perfect sound fruition

9/ 11

Master bedroom

A small change in style that diversifies this area from the floor below, without altering the concept that guided the entire project.

The panels here have a diamond shape, the wood texture is more delicate, but you meet again elements like slate stone, light marble (with an inlay that contributes to give a more modern look), metal profiles the accompany the transition between materials. The TV, coming down from the ceiling, is that something extra in technology that is undoubtedly appreciated, while the classy fireplace area with small conversation corner creates a sense of coziness and comfort.

10/ 11

The wardrobe

The wardrobe, made with clear glass, has a very contemporary trait and it is the real and only breaking point compared to the style we find throughout the whole villa, besides slightly different nuances.

A structure, made with wood and metal, is the frame for very modern backlit LED panels that are activated by a motion detector. We go back to the general aesthetic features of the room in the make-up area, that includes practical cabinets.

The bathroom

It can be certainly said that the bathroom, like the living area, has a close “relationship” with the outdoor and the landscape. In the bathroom this exchange is created by an amazing skylight that stretches over the most part of the bathroom surface. The room has a very matter style: great use of slate stone for the walls, for the functional vanity furniture with 2 glass basins (the chosen finish for them is an elegant smoky glass); the slate is used for the whole flooring and continues in the shower area in a seamless way.
